Fumigants penetrate deep into the goods and are difficult and time-consuming to remove. Removal of residual gases after fumigation is faster, more efficient and safer with the Evaqvent ventilation method, compared to natural ventilation and other ventilation methods
Ventilation with the Evaqvent equipment results in faster, more reliable and controlled removal of fumigant residues with less risk of unintentional exposure or contamination of the environments. As all extracted air passes the turbine, the residual fumigants may, when required, be captured using a suitable filter (for example, active carbon to capture phosphine and methyl bromide).
All fumigated containers should be pre-ventilated before shipping.
All fumigated containers should be checked upon arrival for residual fumigants.
Containers that fail the arrival check are not admitted and have to be ventilated again, causing delays and extra costs.
Hazardous gases in container air are quickly eliminated by active ventilation using extraction equipment from Evaqvent. The ventilation can be carried out with closed doors. The slight vacuum created inside the container forces fresh air to enter via small openings and cracks and the extracted air is released outdoors at safe distance.
